Dr. (MSC) Nanco Dolman

Nanco Dolman is a leading expert in water-resilient cities at Deltares, the Netherlands, and has wide experience in integrated water management, urban planning, and climate adaptation projects. Bridging the gap between hydrological engineering and ecological design, he is considered as one of the front runners in Water Sensitive Planning and Nature-based Adaptation. From 2011 to 2016, he was a part-time teacher in Urban Water Management at the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences. Nanco has been an associate editor of IWA’s Journal of Water and Climate Change since 2020. And from 2025 Nanco is a Lead Author for the IPCC Special Report on Climate Change and Cities.
